Gianna had always had the passion for dancing and performing and her love for dancing has grown over the years. Gianna's favorite style of dance to perform and watch is lyrical. Gianna's specialties are jazz and lyrical and she has been dancing for nine years. If Gianna doesn't become a dancer, she would like to study and become a nurse.
On Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition
Gianna made it along with ten other dancers to Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition's second season. Gianna was quickly placed into the Madonna trio with Kalani and McKaylee, however, during the trio, Gianna fell on the floor but recovered. This placed her in the bottom three but she was spared because her trio was the best of the night. Gianna then won the group challenge, getting to choose her routine based off of the costume. She choose a contemporary lyrical routine that saved her from getting in the bottom. Gianna unfortunately ended up in the bottom three in week three but was spared by the judges. Gianna made a big recovery with her duet with Haley called "Show Stoppers" in Vegas week. Abby couldn't find anything negative to say about Gianna's performance. Gianna made it into the next week and then the next after her duet with Kalani called "Twisted." Then she had a duet with Ally based on the Broadway show Nine and passed again. Gianna ran into trouble and drama when she was paired with McKaylee for Fairytales week. Her mother, Cindy was harsh on her this week and when she landed in the bottom two, she called out her daughter, believing she wasn't giving 100%. However, Gianna said she has been giving 100%. Even through that, she was spared. During Wild West week, Gianna finally got the solo she and her mother wanted. Gianna improved from the previous week but landed in the bottom three. Gianna was saved form elimination from Tina, who had the power to save someone in the bottom three from getting eliminated. In the Nightmares week she is given a zombie solo which was well received by the judges and moved on to next week. Gianna was picked last in the 'Diva Chain' and was stuck with a jazz funk solo about Marie Antoinette. Richy and Rachelle loved her performance but Abby wasn't a big fan. Even so, Gianna moved on. Next week during the 'Down the Rabbit Hole" theme, Gianna won the group challenge for portraying her character the best and got to pick all of the solos. She performs a solo about the Mad Hatter and once again Abby isn't a huge fan but due to Richy, and Rachelle's support she's named the top performer of the night. However, everyone is safe, so she moves on to the final four once again. For the final group challenge, she chose her zombie solo as her encore performance and was spared from elimination after Abby commended her choice. In the finale, Rachelle said that she was slightly outshined by the other two finalists in the group dance, and received some technique critiques from Davis Robbertson, the guest judge from the Joffery Ballet School. Gianna's final solo was reviewed very well by Richy and Rachelle, highly praised by Davis, and, of course, critiqued by Abby. Gianna took home the runner-up title.
In a video interview, Cindy has stated that she did not want to be on television; and it was Gianna's own initiative that obtained and filled-out the application forms, hoping to be accepted by the show.
Gianna remained friends with McKaylee after filming, visiting the True Dance Center (including a video posted on YouTube); and referring to McKaylee as her "bff/audc twinnie" on Twitter.
